Project Description
ELECTRICAL TESTING
Thorough, accredited and competitively priced electrical testing service for domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.
Advantages of regular testing
Over time, electrical equipment and installations will deteriorate. To prevent this equipment and installations should be tested and inspected regularly, ensuring that they are in the best possible position for continued use. This provides peace of mind for you and may also save you the cost of replacing equipment completely.
NICEIC
NICEIC is the UK’s leading voluntary regulatory body for the electrical contracting industry. It has been assessing the electrical competence of electricians for over fifty years and currently maintains a roll of over 26,000 registered contractors.
Choosing an NICEIC registered electrician is a householder’s best way to ensure a safe job. Electricians registered with NICEIC are assessed on a regular basis to ensure high standards and their work is checked against the IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671 as well as other standards.
PART P
In 2005 the Government introduced electrical safety rules into the Building Regulations for England and Wales. Because of this, most fixed electrical installation work in homes must, by law, meet the Building Regulations.
Part P states that anyone carrying out electrical installation work in a home must make sure that the work is designed and installed to protect people from fire and electric shocks.
Part P applies to any changes made to existing installations, including any parts that have been rewired. In April 2013 further changes were introduced, reducing the range of electrical installation work that is notifiable – removing some requirements in kitchens and outdoors.
